PRAIRIE LAKES HEALTHCARE SYSTEM BLOOD DRIVE POSTED: JAN 26, 2010 The Community Blood Bank and Prairie Lakes Healthcare System will host a community blood drive on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 8:00am to 10:30am and 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Community Blood Bank’s bloodmobile will be taking blood donations to benefit the local blood supply. Donor registration will be through the main hospital doors, in the hospital lobby. Residents will have an opportunity to donate blood, save a life and make a difference. The need for all blood types is urgent. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with signed parent consent form found at cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 lbs. or more and be in good general health. Please bring an ID with you. It is recommended that a person eat and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating blood. The donation process only takes 20 – 30 minutes on the bloodmobile. Community Blood Bank is the sole provider of blood and blood products for Prairie Lakes Hospital and 28 other local hospitals. For more information please call the PLHS Lab at 882-7750.
