Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is pleased to welcome Dr. David McKee, a board-certified neurologist with more than 30 years of experience, to our outreach services.
Starting the week of June 9, Dr. McKee will provide neurology outreach services in Watertown at the Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinic one week each month, offering specialized care close to home for patients in our region.
Expert in Neurodiagnostic Testing
Dr. McKee’s primary focus is electrodiagnostic medicine and neuromuscular disease. He is certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and brings extensive expertise in EMG testing and evaluation of complex neuromuscular conditions.
Clinic Availability
Dr. McKee will be at the Prairie Lakes Specialty Clinic during the second week of each month. Patients will receive preparation instructions at the time of appointment scheduling.
Common Reasons for Neurology Referrals
EMG Testing:
- Progressive weakness or numbness
- Numbness and tingling (suspected Carpal/Cubital tunnel syndrome)
- Persistent cervical or lumbar radiculopathy
- Suspected spinal cord compression
- Peripheral neuropathy (e.g., diabetic neuropathy, Guillain-Barré)
- Suspected neuromuscular disease (e.g., ALS, myasthenia gravis)
Neurology Consultations:
- New or uncontrolled seizures
- Stroke or TIA with unclear cause
- Unexplained syncope with neurological suspicion
Please note: Dr. McKee does not treat migraines or headache-related conditions.

A physician referral will be required to schedule an appointment with Dr. McKee.
