The Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation is excited to kick off our "We Give" Employee Giving Campaign, on November 4th, 2024. This campaign empowers our dedicated team members to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our community.
Employee contributions will help us to care for more patients, acquire cutting-edge equipment, recruit talented staff, and enhance our technology—all of which directly impact the quality of care we provide.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Together, we can strengthen our work and create a healthier future for everyone we serve.

What Employees Are Saying
-
Todd Hodenfield
Physical Therapist - “With what the Foundation does to give back to the hospital and the community, I think that it’s an easy decision to donate to the Foundation, to give to them. They invest in us, and they invest in our community to help us thrive and to do awesome things.”
-
Jessica Kruse
Staff Accountant/Finance - "I feel compelled to give to the Foundation because I have been blessed and I want to be a blessing to others. I know the dollars I give by itself wouldn’t do much, but those dollars combined with other giving can make a big impact. It’s something that I’m proud to be a part of. I want to help support the organization that is supporting me. How awesome to know that those going through a hard time maybe helped make that time a little better or the job a little easier. Our dollars so far have helped to support students going to school, students looking for a job, employees, patients on dialysis, cancer patients, hospice patients, patients who need an affordable place to stay while they are here, therapy patients, and that is only the beginning. I’m excited to see what else can be done with our help."
-
Dr. Tina Melanson
Nephrologist - "I give to the Foundation because indirectly I have been blessed to have been on the receiving end of a gift from them. The Foundation threw a BASH event to raise funds to allow our dialysis unit to purchase 12 new dialysis machines. This allowed the dialysis department to expand into a new dialysis unit to serve our current and future patients. In return, this permits us to treat more patients from our surrounding communities in our own state of the art dialysis unit. This benefits not only my patients, but also all the staff, me included, that spend hours at a time in the unit. It has been such a gift and every time I am working in dialysis, I never forget that it was the Foundation that helped us accomplish this long-awaited goal."
Hanna Eide and Family
The Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation is honored to accept the donation of a CuddleCot from employee Hanna Eide and family, in memory of their son, Paxton, who passed away from medical causes. This meaningful gift allows the family to honor Paxton’s memory while offering comfort to others who may experience the heartbreaking loss of a child. Although they hope the CuddleCot never has to be used, they recognize its significance in providing peace and closure to grieving families.
The CuddleCot is a special cooling device that gives parents the invaluable gift of time with their baby after a loss. By extending these moments, the CuddleCot helps families create lasting memories and find solace during an incredibly difficult time. Paxton’s family believes their donation will make a profound difference in the birthing experience of other parents and is deeply appreciative of the opportunity to help others through their donation.
