Prairie Lakes Healthcare System was recently notified that Aetna sent letters to patients (with Aetna insurance plans) notifying them that some providers within Prairie Lakes Healthcare System were going out of network.
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System, including physicians at Prairie Lakes Brown Clinic, continue to remain in network with Aetna/Multiplan/Claritev. Members enrolled in these plans have continued uninterrupted access to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System’s physicians, facilities, and hospitals.
The letters were likely triggered by a recent change in contract with Aetna due to the acquisition of the former Brown Clinic by Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in 2024.
