Last Saturday, January 25th, we held our first PLHS Health & Wellness Expo at the Codington County Extension Complex!
We welcomed approximately 250 attendees to connect with our healthcare providers and care teams. Men, women, and children had their questions answered and learned about new services and resources available to them. Several guests attended the various breakout sessions provided, scheduled appointments, received various health screenings, and more. Children enjoyed the Bike Rodeo and getting to hang out with members of the Watertown Police Department and Watertown Fire Rescue, along with Watertown Park & Rec.
Health & Wellness Expo 2025 by the Numbers:
- 114 blood sugar pricks
- 75 attendees entered the Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation raffle
- 60 blood pressure checks performed
- 48 candles lit in memory of a loved one
- 27 body composition analyses provided
- 19 donors donated 16 units of blood - which will directly help 48 local patients!
- 11 appointments scheduled onsite
One of the most popular areas of our event is always the recipe sampling from Sodexo. This year, our Nutritional Services team offered two healthy and delicious recipes and provided recipe cards for attendees to take home. To access each of those recipes, click the link below:
